Aerial view of the Ill sports field, the nerve center of the event, with:

– the Ill stadium, with its track soaked with the sweat of the Clemessy runners. Saturday morning meeting point, race start/finish, picnic

– on the other side of the road, the Palais de Sports, a mecca of French women’s volleyball  Friday evening captains’ evening

– and to the right, the Ill, the emblematic river of Alsace, around which the courses are traced

The building at the bottom left is the ice rink, next to which is the Illberg swimming pool (not seen in the photo), where those who wish can take a shower.
