Parco Nord Milano is one of Milan’s largest urban green spaces, spanning over 632 hectares of parkland that stretches between Milan, Sesto San Giovanni and Cinisello Balsamo .
It was created through extensive reforestation and redevelopment of former industrial areas and today offers a rich mix of natural, recreational, and cultural features.
Parco Nord Milano – Start Location & Practical Information
Start location: Parco Nord – Via Massimo Gorki, 100, 20092 Cinisello Balsamo (MI). This is the official meeting and race start point inside the northern section of Parco Nord Milano, a large urban park with green spaces, trails, and recreational areas.
Facilities on-site
• There are public toilets located within the park, including self‑cleaning facilities accessible to people with disabilities.
• Changing spaces and areas for preparation are available near the start zone.
• Drinking fountains and green shaded areas are located throughout the park for warm‑up and cool‑down.
Transport & access
Parco Nord Milano is well‑connected to Milan and surrounding towns by public transport:
Tram
• Line 31 stops at Parco Nord (Ist. Tecnico) — about a 5‑minute walk from Via Massimo Gorki.
Bus
• Lines 702, 727, 728 and Z222 serve stops within a short walking distance of the start point (e.g., Parco Nord (Osp. Bassini), Via Gorki / Via Testi).
Metro access with connections
• M1 (red line) – Sesto FS or Sesto Rondò stations (then bus connection).
• M5 (purple line) – Bignami station (then bus or tram).
Train option
Regional trains (e.g., lines S8 / S9 / R14) serve nearby stations, which are a short bus or tram ride away.
Car & parking
There are park‑adjacent street parking areas and nearby paid lots. The park can also be reached by car via Viale Fulvio Testi and local roads.
