RULES<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

Article 1 <\/strong>\u2013 <\/span>Organization <\/strong><\/p>\n

TELEMATICS and the Comit\u00e9 Ariane Cross, are organizing the <\/span>47th <\/strong>ARIANE CROSS competition on 10th October 2026 in <\/span>\n Milano, Italy<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

Article 2 \u2013 Races <\/strong><\/p>\n

The ARIANE CROSS meeting includes both individual races and a 4 X 1.500 m. <\/span><\/p>\n

Three optional distances are offered for the individual races: 2.500 m, 5.000 m and 10.000 m. <\/span><\/p>\n

Note: All distances are indications only. <\/em><\/p>\n

\n

Article 3 \u2013 Participants <\/strong><\/p>\n

The event is opened to employees from European companies engaged in the European launchers programs, as well as the employees\u2019 partners.<\/span><\/p>\n

Article 4 \u2013 Closing date <\/strong><\/p>\n

The entry deadline (individual events and relay) as the final date for applications to participate in ARIANE CROSS 2025 is <\/span>30th june 2025<\/strong>\n . <\/span>\n <\/p>\n

Article 5 \u2013 Team <\/strong><\/p>\n

Team captain <\/span><\/p>\n

Each team must appoint a captain who will be the contact point with the organizers. <\/span><\/p>\n

Company Team composition <\/span><\/p>\n

Except for the organization team, each team shall be composed of participants up to 70 runners. <\/span><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

Article 6 \u2013 Medical Certification<\/strong><\/p>\n

In accordance with the recommendations of the French Athletics Federation and Law No. 2022-296 of March 2, 2022, a medical certificate is not required any more.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nevertheless, each team captain will check that all runners in his team have health conditions to practice running in competition.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Organizing Committee cannot be held responsible for any medical issues.<\/span><\/p>\n

Article 7 \u2013 Age categories (individual races) <\/strong><\/p>\n

Age categories for this cross-country event are only defined with the year of birth. The following categories have been defined :<\/span><\/p>\n

Article 8 \u2013 Individual race <\/strong><\/p>\n

A competitor can enter only one individual race.<\/span><\/p>\n

Article 9 \u2013 Relay race <\/strong><\/p>\n

A relay team consists of 4 runners from a team who have all participated in an individual race. <\/span><\/p>\n

The relay team must be composed as follows : <\/span><\/p>\n

Any relay team not respecting the above mentioned composition, shall not be allowed to participate the relay race. A relay competitor can enter only one relay team.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

Article 10\u2013 Team points from individual races <\/strong><\/p>\n

The ranking will be established upon order of arrival of 4 Runners and not depending on the time\/chrono. <\/span><\/p>\n

For each individual race (2.500 m, 5.000 m and 10.000 m), two overall rankings will be established: <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7<\/span> A women\u2019s overall ranking, all categories <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7<\/span> A men\u2019s overall ranking, all categories. <\/span><\/p>\n

In each women\u2019s race, the following will be recorded: <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7<\/span> The best performance within the team, regardless of age category. <\/span><\/p>\n

The points allocated correspond to the place obtained in the women\u2019s overall ranking. <\/span><\/p>\n

Thus, over 5.000 m for example, a team whose best athlete was 3rd (overall) will be allocated 3 points. <\/span><\/p>\n

In <\/span>each men\u2019s race<\/strong>, the following will be recorded: <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7<\/span> The best performance among runners born in 1986 and after, <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7<\/span> The best performance among runners born in 1985 and before. <\/span><\/p>\n

The points allocated correspond to the sum of the two places obtained in the men\u2019s overall ranking. <\/span><\/p>\n

Example: over 2.500 m, a team whose best athlete born in 1986 or after finishes 8th (overall) and whose best athlete born in 1985 or before finishes 15th (overall) will receive 8 + 15 = 23 points. <\/em><\/p>\n

Any team that does not have a representative in a given race, will be allocated the number of points scored by the lowest scoring athlete overall (women and men) plus 1. <\/span><\/p>\n

Example: in the 10.000 m women\u2019s race for example, if 25 female athletes finish, teams that have no representatives in that race will be allocated 26 points. <\/em><\/p>\n

The total individual point score of a team is therefore equal to the sum of points scored by its best representatives (women whatever the birth year + men born in 1986 and after + men born in 1985 and before in each race. <\/span><\/p>\n

This total score is then divided by 9, giving the average of individual points scored for the team.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

Article 11 \u2013 Team points from relay race <\/strong><\/p>\n

The ranking will be established upon order of arrival of 4 Runners and not depending on the time\/chrono. It is understood that only the best relay team of the team companies is taken into account for the establishment of the final ranking. <\/span><\/p>\n

In the relay race the following will be recorded: <\/span><\/p>\n

The best performance of a relay team within the team. <\/span><\/p>\n

The number of points scored by a given team in a relay race corresponds to the best team\u2019s relay team finishing place (1 point for the relay team finishing first \u2026). <\/span><\/p>\n

A team that does not finish the relay race will be allocated the number of points awarded to the team finishing last, plus 1. <\/span><\/p>\n

Note: Teams are allowed to participate in the relay race with multiple teams.<\/em><\/p>\n

Article 12 \u2013Final ranking <\/strong><\/p>\n

The final ranking is obtained by adding the number of points scored in the relay race to the average of the individual points scored by the team. <\/span><\/p>\n

The ranking is established by the representatives of the Ariane Cross Committee.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

Article 13 \u2013 Trophies <\/strong><\/p>\n

The first three finishers in each category will be awarded a trophy. <\/span><\/p>\n

The first three teams in the relay will be awarded a trophy. <\/span><\/p>\n

The final team ranking shall be announced during the trophy awards ceremony.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Ariane Cross challenge cup will be awarded to the team that finishes in first place. <\/span><\/p>\n

This cup is put back in competition at each edition.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

Article 14 \u2013 Timings <\/strong><\/p>\n

The schedules below are given for informational purposes; they may be changed if necessary.<\/span><\/p>\n

The individual races will start at the following times: <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7<\/span> 10.000 m, categories C1 to C6: start 09.00 am <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7<\/span> 5.000 m, categories B1 to B6: start 10.30 am <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7<\/span> 2.500 m, categories A1 to A6 start 11.30 am <\/span><\/p>\n

The relay race will start at 12:00 am. <\/span><\/p>\n

Competitors are to assemble at the start line 10 minutes before the published start of each event.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

Article 15 \u2013 General arrangements <\/strong><\/p>\n

Numbers must be worn on the chest. The use of spiked shoes is not allowed. Failure to respect the rules or directions given by an official or route marshal may result in disqualification. <\/span><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

Article 16 <\/strong><\/p>\n

All participants agree to abide by these rules; failure to do so may result in disqualification. <\/span><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

Article 17 <\/strong><\/p>\n

All participants agree that photos, video material, and interviews made in connection with his\/her participation in the event can be broadcasted and published on TV, the internet, radios, in printed material, books, photo copies (video footage, video tapes, etc.) without fees. Moreover, participants agree that personal data, such as name, year of birth and company can be provided in starting lists and results. <\/span><\/p>\n
