The Ariane Cross is an annual foot race for space companies.<\/p>\n

This year the Ariane Cross will take place in Mulhouse. The event will attract around 500 participants, about 25 teams.<\/p>\n

Over the years, a format has been found: the event takes place over the 4th of October, starting with a team captains’ meeting on Friday, the 3rd of October evening, the running events on Saturday 4th of October morning, a big picnic\n on Saturday lunchtime, tourist visits on Saturday afternoon and a gala evening on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

The event concludes on Saturday evening after the gala evening, with teams departing on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The distribution of riders and rankings are governed by regulations to be communicated later.<\/p>\n

PROGRAM DETAILS<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7        5 km<\/p>\n

\u00b7        2.5 km<\/p>\n

\u00b7        A 6 km relay split into 4 legs of 1,5 km each.<\/p>\n

As this is a cross-country race, there may be some minor difficulties with gradients.<\/p>\n

The 2.5 km and the relay courses are fast.<\/p>\n

Only runners who have taken part in one of the individual races may take part in the relay.<\/p>\n

Friday, 3rd of October<\/em><\/p>\n

The teams Captains are invited to a briefing meeting at 19:00 at \u2018Le Palais des Sports\u2019 \u2013 16, Bld Charles Stoessel \u2013 Mulhouse close to the stadium \u2018Stade de l\u2019Ill\u2019 (around 20min from city center by public transportation Tram Line 2\n Direction Coteaux, departure station: Porte Jeune, arrival station: Palais des Sports)<\/p>\n

Briefing meeting (approx. 30 people), presenting:<\/p>\n

\u00b7        The detailed program of the event, with a clear reminder of cut-off times.<\/p>\n

\u00b7        Transportation and meeting points.<\/p>\n

\u00b7        Races routes, indicating any difficulties<\/p>\n

\u00b7        Venues: races, visits, evening events.<\/p>\n

\u00b7        Useful maps<\/p>\n

\u00b7        Useful phone numbers and Whatsapp groups<\/p>\n

\u00b7        Free public transportation coupon for every team members<\/p>\n

Once the briefing is over, it is time for the delivery of race numbers and event T-shirts and have an aperitif all together.<\/p>\n

IMPORTANT: please allow time and material for last-minute distance changes.<\/p>\n

And last but not least: handing out of a bag with goodies representative of the organizing company and the host city.<\/p>\n

The saturday afternoon is free. It can be an opportunity to visit Mulhouse\u2019s old downtown, have a nap at the hotel or visit one of the proposed museums free of charge. The free of charge public transportation coupons can of course\n be used.<\/p>\n
